Here is your warning...this is going to be a long post. Enjoy!
October has been full of fun events. I will put the stories with the pictures so I don't confuse anyone...especially myself!:)
Justin and Kaylynn in rare form. Kaylynn likes to have Justin "read" her books. Justin makes up the stories for each page. This day they actually sat there and were nice to each other for about 20 minutes!
Happy Birthday Grandma!!! The kids and I made Grandma a birthday cake. We have a web camera and so we "surprised" Grandma with her cake on the web-cam. We sang to her and the kids blew out the candles and then ate Grandma's piece for her. The kids love talking to Grandma and Grandpa on the web-cam and so this was our way of celebrating long distance. Justin helped me decorate the cake-that is why there are hundreds of blue sprinkles still being found around the kitchen to this day.
Next...Concrete slab for a shed in our backyard. Here is the form boards and rebar ready for concrete.
This is the concrete truck. It mixes the concrete as you need it. Therefore wasting a lot less and saving a lot of money.
They boys came up with some unique techniques for finishing the concrete. This only one picture of their ideas. Vance is putting a broom finish on the concrete, Josh is keeping the broom from falling into the dirt and from landing hard on the concrete. Jeff is trying to keep Vance from doing a face plant in the wet concrete. It was pretty entertaining to watch!
JL helping Kaylynn put her touch on the concrete.
Justin having his turn!
BIG shout of THANKS to HotRod, Grammy, Uncle Vance, and Uncle Josh!!! You all are life savers!!!
Justin posing for a picture in his suit. This day was his very first Primary Program. His part was....The Teacher asked "Who is a Child of God?" Justin's part was..."I am!" He was so cute up there singing. We were very pleased with how hard he practiced his songs. He did a wonderful job. He even did the fun sunbeam things like waving to Kaylynn, giving thumbs-up, smiling and holding hands with his friend Emily. My boy is growing too fast! Thank you too Grammy and HotRod for coming down to watch Justin. He was so happy to have you there and show off for you!
Justin and Kaylynn being cute together in their Sunday best!
My babies and not babies any more. They are growing so fast and surprise me everyday with how much knowledge and strength that each of them have. I love them so much, even when they are screaming at each other the other 23 hours of the day.
Here comes some of the Halloween events...
I took Justin and Kaylynn to the library on Wednesday to do Story Time and to participate in the Library Halloween Party. They read a story and then went Trick-or-Treating around the Library and then over to the Senior Center. Next they had cookies and juice for the kids. Justin and Kaylynn had a lot of fun visiting all the different stations and getting candy from the Seniors.
Justin learned about Spiders at Preschool this week and they made this spider hat. I thought it was a pretty cute idea.
Justin at his Preschool Halloween Party.
Carving Pumpkins. It took a little convincing to get Justin to finally get his hands dirty by actually reaching inside the pumpkin. Once convinced, he never turned back!
Silly boys!
Kaylynn liked using the spoon way better then her hands.
Kaylynn and me. My job was to clean out the seeds and carve the kids pumpkins.
