June Happenings

Summer is here and in Arizona that means we go swimming at every function and we stay indoors as much as possible. This summer we have been busy staying involved in several City recreation programs. Justin and Kaylynn had swim lessons, and all the kids are participating in the Summer Reading Program. We go to the library each week and participate in craft, wild animal show, and magic show. The kids read each week and turn in a log and then they receive prizes. We are also participating in the Summer Fun Movie each week. The kids are loving it all!

Kaylynn and Hanna playing the Wii. Hanna is just pretending, but it has to be authentic. She has to have the wrist strap on and be standing on the Wii board.

Kaylynn has lost her first tooth! She was visited by the tooth fairy and received 50 cents for her tooth. My girl is growing up.

JL surprised me with flowers. Love him!! These ones were cool, you cannot see it but the edges of the yellow pedals are actually green.

Justin at swim lessons. His lessons are an hour long now. He is doing awesome and loving every second of being in the pool.

Justin practicing his rescuing skills. It took him a few times to throw it out far enough. Truth be told his teacher had plenty of time to drown. ;)

His throw was right on the second go around!

Hard to wipe the smile of his face when he has just been in the pool for an hour.

Kaylynn scored for her swim lessons. No one else in her class showed up, so for this session she had her swim teacher to herself. Of course she loved all the one-on-one attention.

Kaylynn's lessons were only 30 minutes long so we had to wait for Justin to finish. She found plenty to do while we waited. She would walk circles, pester Hanna, and play with other friends at the pool.

Hanna and I did not do swim lessons this session because of scheduling issues. Really it comes down to the fact that I did not want to be at the pool for 4 hours a day. So Hanna and I watched from the side and tried to keep cool the best we could. Hanna really liked spraying herself in the face with the squirt gun.
Sister Kent from our ward is the youth librarian at the library we go too. One day while we were there she asked if Justin and Kaylynn if they would like to paint some hot air balloons to hang in the library for decorations for the summer reading program.

Kaylynn's Balloon.

Justin's Balloon.

Hanna wanted to eat popcorn while I was at the movie with the other two. So her Dad hooked her up with her own bowl and tray in the kitchen. Daddy rocks!!

Looks like lots of fun at the Jordan home! I love the cupcakes in the shape of 7. They did great. Happy Birthday Justin! I can't believe how much bigger Hanna looks than the last time you posted on your blog. Keep them coming!
