Grandma Ruby passed away this last week. She died of a massive heart attack. We miss her greatly, but are grateful for the Gospel and the knowledge that she is back with our Father in Heaven and we will see her again. Her legacy of family, charity, serving others, her testimony and temple work will continue through us. Thank you to all of those who were there at her funeral, sent cards, flowers and phone calls. She was an amazing woman who loved and served many people. Grandma Ruby was buried on her birthday. I can't imagine a better turn out for her birthday and farewell. I love you Grandma Ruby-thanks for all the love, guidance and friendship.

Grandma loved the United States of America and she just happened to be buried on Armed Forces Day. So the flag she loved so dearly was displayed everywhere you looked. She would have loved that.

Carrie,
What a wonderful post. Grandma Ruby was an incredible person and loved by so many. You are right when you say her legacy will live on through you and your family. Having the knowledge that we do does make it easier to say "good-bye" for now when we know we will see them again.
Hope you and your family are doing well.
Warmest Regards,
Megan (and family)
How bittersweeet. What a shocker that must have been for you and your family. I know my grandma was quite shaken up about it. She was such a sweet lady, its good you were able to get up there and help out with everything@!
Your grandma was one of the sweetest people I know! I am so sorry to hear that she passed away. It is never easy when someone passes away. Even though we have the knowledge we do, it still hurts and we still miss them. Thank goodness for the comfort of knowing where they are though. My thoughts are with you.
