We had lots of fun on our summer vacation. We enjoyed playing outside, watching the rain, going for rides on the ATV's, following Grandpa and Grandma everywhere! Let's just say everyone had fun, but the end the adults were very tired.

We had fun riding over the little hills on a small dirt track. Justin always rode with Grandpa and Kaylynn always rode with Grandma. Hanna liked going over the hills too. She also liked watching the other two crews go up and down really fast.
Hanna pulling/telling Grandpa to hurry up and set up the slip n slide, pool, and hoses outside. Grandpa hooked Hanna up with a sprinkler. Hanna thought she was tough stuff as she sprayed Justin and Kaylynn when they ran close.

The water was extra muddy because it was right after they fixed and refilled the canal, plus from all the rain. Hanna sat down in it before I could get her swimming suit on. We called it her frosty bum look. Justin would not come near the muddy water. Silly boy.

We stopped and visited Grandpa Davis and Eleanor a couple of times. The kids liked telling them about themselves and what they like to do best. The real entertainment was running round the square walkway. At least it got Grandpa and Eleanor to smile.
Hanna's favorite part of visiting Grandpa Davis was playing with his cane. She thought that was the best and enjoyed showing off her "cane" skills, while the rest of us kept ducking.

Justin talked Grandma into taking us miniature golfing at Banana's. We went on the hottest day, of course. The kids had fun chasing their balls. Hanna became our moving obstacle - she prevented many balls from entering the hole too soon.

We also took the kids to the Mesa County Fair. The kids loved seeing all the different animals and going for a pony ride.
Hanna peeking in at some sheep. The fair was a tiny compared to what it used to be when I was young. Only about half as many animals. It was fun to show the kids where I used to spend time as a child.
We played in the gym while Grandma attended her Institute class. We had a picnic, played line tag, and I pulled the kids around the gym floor on the blanket. I was wore out by the time Grandma's class was over. I wish I still had as much energy as the kids.

Grandma and I took the kids to the Dinosaur museum in Fruita. Hanna loved the earthquake machine. I think we did it at least 4 or 5 times. They liked digging for bones too.
Playing the the water. This is a T-rex that was on display. It moved and made noises. Justin and Kaylynn loved it. Hanna kept giving it dirty looks and tried to shoo it away with her hand. She was not afraid of it, she was telling it off most of the time!
We attended parts of Grandpa's 40th class reunion. Hanna made a new buddy. Hanna also spent most of her time playing in the ice, both eating it and throwing it.
