October was filled with dirt, goblins, princess, heroes, bats, school fun and my favorite part CANDY!!
Here is the family getting the soil ready for our fall/winter garden. We planted snap peas, flowers, beets, carrots, lettuce, onions, garlic, broccoli, cauliflower.
Kaylynn, Hanna and Justin trying to barricade Dad in the bedroom with any and everything they could find in their rooms. Only things missing are their mattresses and the hard toys from the bedrooms. Only thing is Dad caught on to the noise and used the bedroom window to escape his "jail".
This is the way Hanna likes to ride in the stroller when we are following Justin and Kaylynn on their bikes. She wants to be just like them and wear a helmet too. I get some funny looks from people walking and driving past us.
Kaylynn loves playing with these blue clip on earrings that she got from Grandma Ruby.
Hanna of course wanted to wear them too. She likes the necklaces better, but needs more training on how to be nice to them. Therefore she rarely gets to play with them right now.
The kids love bike rides around the neighborhood. We have to take pit stops at every park! It is becoming a day long excursion just to ride around part of our neighborhood. They love it, but my feet are starting to protest the long walks at mach speed, while pushing Hanna in the stroller trying to keep up with the other two.
Kaylynn's first award ceremony for Kindergarten!
She received the Wolf Pack Pride Award. This award means she shows great character and helps all her classmates and her teacher. She is a great example and plays fair with everyone. Go Kaylynn!
Justin also had an awards ceremony. He received the "On a Roll" award. It means he is getting great grades! Hooray for Justin, keep up the great work!
One night the kids decided to give me a make over. They brushed and combed my hair and then proceeded to put in every hair clip they could find. This is the end result. It took them almost an hour to put everything in and then of course 2 minutes to take it all out.
Desert Willow participated in a "Walk to School Day". I was one of the parent volunteers to meet students and help them walk safely to school with adult supervision. Here is Justin and Kaylynn holding up the sign so students knew where to meet. Then we all walked to school together. The kids had a blast!

Hanna got to go along too. Here is the funny bat that closes her eyes whenever you ask her to smile at the camera. Justin had boys night with Dad and they went to up to Gilbert.

Hanna doesn't like desserts or treats. At the school she decided she liked suckers. I think she ate at least 4 dum dums before we left.

Hanna has decided that she loves doughnuts! Daddy surprised them with doughnuts for breakfast and this is what happens to Hanna when they have frosting on them.
Once again she has to close her eyes when the camera is pointed at her. At least she smiles!
